How to improve the speed of apt-get

When I was in Austria, I use the Austrian servers for updating my Ubuntu system. Unfortunately, I am in Lithuania right now, so dowloading updates from Austria takes some time (the speed is 20 kBps). So, I how to improve the speed of apt-get? The answer is very simple: just use the servers which are closer to you. You can add the addresses into /etc/apt/sources.list, or you can do in more convienent way:

Select System -> Administration -> Software Sources.
In the tab "Ubuntu Software", select "Download from" -> "Other..." and press "Select best server" and "Close" :)
